So, months ago, I saw these cute silhouette pictures on another blog I read and couldn't wait to get them done to hang them on my wall. I didn't really read the instructions the first time I saw the post, so I didn't know what I was getting into, but when I went back and found it, I was pleasantly surprised that there were only 3 easy steps.
Step 1
Print a picture of your child's (or whoever) profile on card stock. It doesn't matter the picture quality. You can even print it off in black and white.
Step 2
Cut out the profile and paint them black. I used craft acrylic paint; two coats. You could probably spray paint as well. (Once the paint dries, the paper will start to curl up. Just put it between some white paper and lay a heavy book on top of it for a while to flatten it out.)
Step 3
Mount and frame your silhouette. I glued the silhouette onto another piece of white card stock. You could also adhere it to canvas or another textured surface. Place in the frame of your choice and hang on the wall.

My mom has those of all 6 of her kids when we were in kindergarten! She still has them and she loves them. I remember when when they did mine, we had to stand in front of a projector thing (I don't remember the exact details) and they traced our profile onto paper. Your way seems much easier!
