The Barn at Thanksgiving Point

First I have to show off Shelby's new rockstar sunglasses. She was so thrilled to get them. After her cousins came over last week, all wearing sunglasses, she had to have them too.

Today we had a family outing to the barn at Thanksgiving Point. It was the perfect day, a little overcast and just warm enough and it wasn't crowded at all. Shelby loved to see all the animals, especially so close. She got to touch most of them too and try feeding them. She got the part about getting the feed in her hand but not opening her hand up when she put it in front of their mouths. When we got to the geese, she stopped putting her hand out to feed because they were too aggressive and started pecking at her. The Clydesdale horse was also a little scary because it was so huge. It towered over all of us. Overall, Shelby's favorite animals to watch were the goats and sheep.

Shelby also got to go on a pony ride. I wasn't sure if she was going to like it or get terrified and start screaming but she got right on and loved it. She started waving to everyone standing in the outside of the arena as we walked by. After the first ride she did not want to get off so we went for another round.

After we left we stopped by the cafe and had 25 cent kiddie ice cream cones and headed home. What a great day!
