Fishing Fun

Saturday we took advantage of Utah's Free Fishing Day. We went down to Provo Canyon with my sister and her family as well as my parents and younger sister to spend the day picnicking and catching fish. It was kind of windy and overcast, which made for quite cold conditions considering it's already June, but we made the most of it. Shelby didn't seem to mind, she loves anything outdoors. She had fun on the bridge while we were waiting for everyone to arrive. Unfortunately Ben had an all-day exam and couldn't be there.



After we ate, we walked from the picnic area to the pond and set up camp for the kids to fish.



Sadie was the first one to catch a fish after a long wait and was so excited. All the girls got to use her fishing pole after that and "magically" each caught a fish too! Even Shelby got into it and helped me reel it in and was pretty excited to see the fish pop up out of the water. She kept making a fish face and signing fish to tell me that she knew what it was.



Finally, at about 5:00 the sun was almost totally out and it started warming up but alas, it was time for us to head home. What a fun day!
